For more convenient and safer online banking, Nordea codes app and code calculator replace the existing paper code card. From April 01, 2017, it will no longer be possible to Enter Nordea Netbank or mobile bank with codes from the paper code card. Therefore, every code card user has to make a choice regarding the means of authentication for the upcoming future. We offer two solutions – Nordea codes app and code calculator.

It is no longer necessary to carry around code cards or additional devices.

Nordea's Codes app will always be handy on your mobile phone.

The app is simple to use.

All you need to remember is a 4-digit PIN-code.

The app is securely encrypted and it is not possible to copy into other devices.

Nordea Codes app

We recommend smart phone users adopt the free Codes application, which enables logging into Netbank and confirming transactions independent of whether you are accustomed to using Netbank on the computer or on your mobile phone.

How to order the Codes app?

You enter your personal PIN-code to log into Nordea's Netbank or mobile bank, and a unique reply code will be generated for you.

When performing transactions, enter the control code received from Netbank or the mobile bank, confirm it with your personal PIN-code and enter the reply code in Netbank or mobile bank.

For customers who do not use smart devices, we offer the code calculator – a smart new generation code generator, which is as thin as a bank card and convenient to bring along.

The code calculator can also be used for logging into Netbank and confirming transactions independent of whether you are accustomed to using Netbank on the computer or you prefer the mobile bank.

Ordering

Ordering is only possible in the full version of Netbank (not in the mobile bank). Make sure the entered mobile telephone number and postal address are correct, because these are the contacts that we will send your activation code and code calculator device to.

  • Download the app "Nordea Codes" from the app store and order the activation code and temporary PIN-code from Nordea Netbank.
  • You will find the ordering form under Nordea Netbank Settings – Ordering the Codes app / code calculator
  • If you are planning to use the Codes app on several smart devices, then you must order separate activation codes for them

  • Order the code calculator from Nordea Netbank to your home mailbox. The code calculator should arrive within a few weeks and the activation code will be sent to you by SMS a few days before.
  • You will find the ordering form under Netbank's menu Settings – Ordering the Codes app / code calculator
  • You can check the valid price of the code calculator from the bank's homepage.

Activating the Codes app

After downloading, the Codes app must be activated. This requires an activation code and a temporary PIN-code. The activation code will be sent to you by SMS and the temporary PIN-code will be displayed in Netbank. Both are very important and required.

To start using the token application, you must turn on the device (OK) and then follow the instructions displayed on the code calculator. The code calculator activation code has been sent to you by SMS a few days prior to receiving the code calculator device.

3. The authentication inquiry will be sent to your smart device's Codes app.
